hard
disks will be listed on the menus, and users can browse to any

The current plug-ins are universal binary (PowerPC /
Intel).

Items X and Move Items X Launch
Items X, a set of contextual menu items and menu extra, allows
users to access entire file system on hierarchical menus. With the
editor of Launch Items X, Move Items X users can add any customized
folder to the end of Move Items X 's root menus (see above picture).
It will help users to move selected items to a frequently used folder. Move
selected files to a newly created folder Move Items X
allows users to create a new folder, and then move selected files
into that folder. Users can access this command from the "To
New Folder" menu. The benefits of this feature are:
- Help users
to clean up their desktop
- Help users
to group files together
- Help users
to organize files and folders
  Move Items
X has 4 ways to create new folders for this function:
- Use "Create
Default Location" command : Folder is created automatically.
- Use "Create With Clipboard" command
: Name of new folder is the text in the clipboard.
- Use "Create
New Folder" command : There is a dialog which asks users
to enter the folder name.
- Use "Option" key
+ click on any menu hierarchy : This function will create
a new folder inside the folder pointed to by the clicked menu.
The name of
default location is set from the preferences window, depicted below.
There are three name formats.
- Name only
: e.g. "My Pictures"
- Name plus
current date : e.g. "My Pictures April 26, 2005"
- Current
date only : e.g. "Tuesday, April 26, 2005"
 Display
the package contents This is useful
for a developer or anyone who want to edit the package contents.
Supported packages are app, nib, rtdf, and pkg packages. On the
other hand, users who do not want to see the package contents, i.e.
want to see it as a file, can turn off this option from the Common
Preferences window. Display
recently used folders
Move
Items X features an ability to display recently used folders.
The list of these
folders will appear on the root menu for easy access. Users can
customize the amount of recent folders from the Common Preferences
window.
Changing
menu icons
Move Items
X allows users to customize the appearance of the menu by changing
the icons of the menu items. This feature is
accessed through the Icon Manager window of the Move Items Enabler.

The menu
icon can be an icon of any file or folder as well as the content
of a regular .icns document.
Ability
to show three modules on a single root menu
Normally, the Move Items X shows three modules, i.e. Make Alias
In, Make Copy In and Move Item To, on separate menus. The current
version of Move Items X features an ability to show three modules
on a single root menu. See picture below.

Users can
activate the single root menu mode from the Hierarchy Manager
window of the Interface menu of the Move Items Enabler.
Grouping
feature If the single root menu is enabled, users will acquire the Grouping
feature. This feature resembles the To New Folder functions of
the Move Item To module. It allows users to put (i.e. group)
selected files or folder into a newly created folder.

If users
use the Group To Default Location function, newly created folder
will be on the same parent folder as the selected files. However,
if users use the Group To Customized Folder, the engine will
bring up a navigating dialog for a target folder.
